Why Choose Lithium?
Good question. Lithium batteries in one form or another, can be found in most modern electronic devices.
Their main advantages can be broken down, into the following:
MAINTENANCE
Unlike flooded lead-acid batteries with water levels that need to be monitored, lithium-ion batteries do not need to be topped up with water. As they also do not vent dangerous Hydrogen gas, or acid, they do not cause any damage to components around them.
LONGEVITY
The average lithium-ion battery lifespan for a large-capacity battery pack can be as long as fifteen or more years. A long service life helps provide a return on your investment in lithium-ion battery technology.
EASY & FAST CHARGING
Using fast-charging lithium-ion batteries means less downtime for a machine while it’s tethered to a charging station. For instance, the charge time for the 56aH battery is 2.5 hours from 20%. The biggest advantage, of course, is opportunity charging. Opportunity charging is a system that permits batteries to be charged several times during the work cycle (usually eight hours). This permits the user to charge the battery periodically, to maintain enough usable charge to continue using the vehicle. i.e. the vehicle could be charged during a small window of down time between rounds of golf and then go and achieve a greater range for the rest of the working day. It means the vehicle does not have to finish its charge cycle, before being used again, ideal for a fast pace, prolonged usage environment. On a golf course, this is crucial for carts that are constantly being hired and rehired during peak times, without the down time in between to fully charge lead acid batteries. This way, you can protect your investment and ensure longevity of your fleet.

Our Service Includes:
- Removal of and environmentally friendly disposal of existing batteries.
- Removal of any old hardware, including battery clamps, straps, wiring and old charging system.
- Full steam clean of battery tray area and golf cart, to remove debris and acid residue etc.
- Prime and paint of battery tray area to improve aesthetic appearance and improve longevity.
- Installation of new drive engage solenoid. (EZGO RXV ONLY, All other models optional extra)
- Installation of new high amp battery cables for supply to Solenoid.
- Installation of new charging receptacle. (EZGO RXV ONLY, All other models optional extra)
- New charger provided with all Roy Pow batteries. Recommended to be installed off the machine, but can be installed on-board if necessary.
- Installation of new Roy Pow Lithium Ion battery of your choice, including secure bracket mounting kit.
- Full electrical check using Curtis Diagnostic Hand Held. From here we can see any existing faults with your machine and rectify where necessary.
