Commercial robotic mowing for large areas

The Segway Terranox CM120M1 brings fully autonomous mowing to commercial grounds maintenance. Designed for areas of up to 12,000m², it gives businesses and professional grounds teams a practical way to reduce routine mowing labour while maintaining consistent turf quality.

Unlike a conventional ride-on mower, Terranox can continue carrying out scheduled mowing without an operator sitting on the machine. Therefore, staff can concentrate on higher-value grounds maintenance work instead.

The CM120M1 can cover its maximum 12,000m² mowing area within 40 hours under Segway's test conditions. It offers a 145-minute runtime and mowing speeds of up to 0.9m/s.

AWD performance for demanding sites

Commercial sites are rarely perfectly flat. Terranox uses an all-wheel-drive system and can handle slopes of up to 40° or 84%. As a result, it is well suited to challenging areas where terrain can limit the effectiveness of conventional robotic mowers.

Terranox also uses a 17-inch cutting width with an adjustable cutting height of 0.75 to 4 inches. Its dual-motor, dual-deck cutting system uses 12 blades to deliver a consistent finish across large areas.

Intelligent navigation without boundary wires

There is no traditional boundary wire to install. Instead, Terranox uses Segway's EFLS™ NRTK positioning system, combining Network RTK, 360° vision and visual-inertial odometry.

Where Network RTK coverage is available, a local antenna is not required. However, the system can switch to LRTK where Network RTK coverage is unavailable.

This makes installation considerably more flexible on large or changing commercial sites. In addition, mowing boundaries and working areas can be managed digitally rather than relying on buried perimeter wires.

360° intelligent obstacle detection

Segway's VisionFence™ system combines 360° RGB cameras with ToF sensing. This allows the mower to identify and respond to objects while working across busy commercial environments.

Terranox works with NavimowFleet™, Segway's professional fleet-management platform. Operators can monitor mower location, work progress and machine status remotely. Furthermore, schedules, cutting heights, maps and operating areas can be managed through the system.

This becomes particularly useful when several machines operate across one large site or multiple locations.
