The Kawasaki MULE SX is a compact utility vehicle built for customers who need genuine off-road ability without the size of a full-size UTV.

Simple and Reliable Petrol Power

The MULE SX uses a 401cc, four-stroke, single-cylinder petrol engine with fuel injection. The simple air-cooled design keeps the vehicle straightforward while providing dependable performance for everyday work.

An automatic CVT transmission includes High, Low, Neutral and Reverse. Meanwhile, selectable 2WD and 4WD allow the operator to change the drivetrain to suit the conditions. A lockable rear differential provides additional traction when the ground becomes more difficult.

This straightforward mechanical layout is one of the MULE SX's strongest points. It is designed as a practical working vehicle rather than an unnecessarily complicated one.

Carry, Tow and Get the Job Done

Despite its compact dimensions, the MULE SX has a useful 181kg cargo bed capacity. The flat, square load bed measures approximately 1,040mm by 905mm and can be accessed from three sides, making loading tools and materials straightforward.

The vehicle can also tow up to 500kg, making it suitable for small trailers and other equipment around a working site.

In addition, the tipping cargo bed helps make unloading easier at the end of the job.

Built for Tight and Difficult Ground

Compact dimensions are a major advantage where access is limited. The MULE SX measures approximately 2,710mm long and 1,335mm wide, while 24-inch tyres provide a useful combination of grip and manageable overall size.

The Hi-Lo transfer case also gives the driver more control when climbing slopes or moving heavier loads. Therefore, the vehicle can handle a wide range of everyday off-road jobs without requiring the footprint of a larger machine.

Practical Storage and Driver Comfort

A 60-litre sealed storage compartment sits beneath the front bonnet, providing useful protected space for tools and personal items. In addition, the adjustable steering wheel helps different operators find a comfortable driving position.

The automotive-style dashboard keeps the main controls within easy reach. Meanwhile, the two-person seating layout leaves the rear of the vehicle dedicated to carrying equipment.
